Description
This hand-drawn, hand-pulled silkscreen print is printed on traditional Nepalese Lokta paper.
Recently, I have been working with Japanese and Nepalese papers as a way of translating my observations of the landscape through materials that reflect and embody it. I am drawn to their rawness, texture, and irregularity; the surface itself already feels like marks made in the earth.
Each print is unique due to the natural fibres and variations within the handmade paper. These subtle differences are an integral part of the work and contribute to its character.
The piece looks particularly striking when framed in a simple box frame that allows the natural deckled edges of the paper to remain visible.
Size: 78 × 53 cm
Shipped carefully wrapped in tissue paper and bubble wrap then packaged in a wide sturdy tube for safe delivery.
